There has been a change in venue for the following competition.

The Archie Macmillian competition on 4/4/24 will now take place at Framlingham Railway

Welcome to the Mid Suffolk Cribbage League Website

Cribbage is a 17th century card game created by the English poet Sir John Suckling. It is played using a standard pack of playing cards and a customised board drilled with holes and pegs to keep score.

Our season runs from early September until April each year during which we play as teams in a league format.  Teams consist of eight players split into pairs who then play five games against the opposing team each week, alternating each week with games played home and away. We are a very friendly and social league with members ranging in age from 18 years (or even younger sometimes) to over 80.

We also hold a variety of competitions throughout the season, usually on a Thursday evening, which culminates in a finals night which is held at the end of the season where we play off the various finals, celebrate the winners of the competitions and presentation of trophies.  The winning team of the league chooses a local charity to receive £200 from the league and this is presented on this occasion.   It is an evening of social activity, eating, drinking and celebration.

We are always looking for new members for the teams so why not give us a try. Just call in to your nearest team’s venue and ask for details or alternatively use the relevant contact details in this website.
